Nets of Desire consists of three cyanotypes depicting fruit nets, presented together within a single frame. Choosing such an unconventional subject for cyanotype is a deliberate act of resistance against the traditional use of plants and flowers, which often romanticises nature in predictable ways. By introducing synthetic, everyday waste materials, the work disrupts visual expectations and offers a new perspective that shifts the narrative.
