Cyanotype on paper

Exhibited at Forms of Presence: Proximities exhibition at Köysirata Gallery in Turku in 2026

This work takes its title from a statement by posthumanist philosopher Rosi Braidotti, whose thinking has informed my practice. The series comprises twelve cyanotypes depicting Malva leaves marked by insect feeding. Exposed to sunlight for varying durations, each print develops a distinct intensity of blue. Through these subtle variations and traces of interspecies interaction, the work reflects on coexistence and identity as relational and porous, formed through shared environments, mutual entanglements, and difference. The work was developed during an artist residency at Culture Hub Croatia – Prostor in autumn 2025.
