In 2020, the sudden transition to a “remote” mode of existence, resulting from measures taken worldwide to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease, significantly increased the use of telecommunication technologies through platforms such as Zoom. For many people, “Zooming” became part of everyday work, study, and leisure routines. As our interlocutors and we were confined within the limiting frames of our devices during video calls, this inevitably affected our way of communicating. How did remote work conducted through video conferencing shape our ways of expressing and observing emotions? By utilising Zoom as a tool not only for communication but also for creating audiovisual artistic material, we explored this question and presented our experiences in an online exhibition form.
