Fluid Identity is a short cyanotype-based animation composed of 171 cyanotype frames, reflecting on the fluid and porous nature of identity. Unfolding through shifting blue impressions, bodies, traces, and forms emerge and dissolve, resisting fixed representation. Embracing the cyanotype process's unpredictability, the work explores identity as a state of transformation, instability, and becoming, shaped by the interplay of light, water, and time.

The animation is presented as a work in progress: next to the projection, cyanotype frames printed on watercolour paper hang on a rope, as if still drying, accompanied by carefully arranged rocks, shells, and other materials collected along the shores of Split, Croatia, during an artist residency at Culture Hub Croatia – Prostor in autumn 2025. The installation extends the animation’s material and conceptual concerns into the exhibition space, bringing together images, objects, and traces of the process through which the work took shape.
