Sasha Shtirbits

In Spring 2023 I was diagnosed with severe depression. When I was able to return to artistic practice, I started using abstract painting as a sort of self-therapy, letting all my anxiety and negative thoughts out on the large-scale canvases. Going at the same time through a heavy identity crisis, I found it impossible to sign this work with my own name. Therefore, I have created a pseudonym using my nickname as my alter ego's first name and my grandmother's surname as the last.
